Becky Merrill received her first pony for her 5th birthday. In the fifty years following that she has raised, trained and exhibited quality horses of several breeds. She has won many national honors riding Quarter Horses, Paints and Palominos. A former judge in several associations, and well known trainer, Becky was forced to alter her career in the late 1980's due to a chronic lung condition. Since training for the public was no longer an option, Becky eventually turned Amateur exhibitor, specializing in World Class Trail Horses. Training her own horses, she has won six World Championships, several Reserve World Championships, and the All-American Quarter Horse Congress three times. Her World and Congress wins have been both in the Open and Amateur Divisions.
